Alenka v říši divů

I’ve been flipping through Chris Riddell’s illustrations twice as slowly as I normally would—each page reveals a new detail I missed the first time. The double-page pictorial endpapers alone are worth picking this edition up for.

The color pictorial boards are even more vivid in person, and Chris Riddell’s double-page spread of the Mad Tea Party made me stop and stare for a solid five minutes. The endpapers alone are worth flipping through before you even reach the story.

The double-page spread illustrations in this edition are absolutely stunning—Chris Riddell’s detail on the Cheshire Cat alone is worth the price. It’s a solid, well-bound hardcover that feels like a keepsake, and the color pictorial boards make it stand out on my shelf. I’ve already read it twice.
