Hazel ★★★★★

My kid giggles every time we read about the two turtle doves, and the way the presents pile higher each page really captures that frantic Christmas chaos. The illustrations are sweet without being saccharine, and it's become our nightly pick for December.

Jason ★★★★★

The escalating pile of presents is such a fun visual, and my daughter loves spotting the new animal hiding on each page. It's a clever twist on the classic song that makes us both laugh every time we read it.

John ★★★★★

My kids were giggling by the third day of presents, and the way the pile grows on each page really captures the chaos perfectly. The story is sweet and the illustrations are charming enough that I don't mind reading it twice in a row.
