Sophia ★★★★★

The pacing of the descent is what really hooked me—spending page after page inside that extinct Icelandic volcano feels like you're right there with the professor and his nephew. The guide adds just the right amount of tension to keep things moving without slowing the story down.

Grace ★★★★★

Got it for a discount and honestly it's a steal, the professor's descent down that Icelandic volcano pulls you in from the first chapter. The pacing is brisk, and I love how the guide, Hans, stays so calm through all the chaos underground.

Edward ★★★★★

The paperback arrived in great shape, and the typesetting is clean enough that I got lost in the story for hours. The descent with Professor Lidenbrock feels just as tense as I remember it being as a kid.
