Meet the All-of-a-Kind Family -- Ella, Henny, Sarah, Charlotte, and Gertie -- who live with their parents in New York City at the turn of the century.

Together they share adventures that find them searching for hidden buttons while dusting Mama's front parlor and visiting with the peddlers in Papa's shop on rainy days. The girls enjoy doing everything together, especially when it involves holidays and surprises.

But no one could have prepared them for the biggest surprise of all!

Elizabeth ★★★★★

The way each chapter focuses on a different sister made it easy for my kids to pick their favorite character. We've read it aloud every night for the past week and they keep asking for "just one more page.

Daniel ★★★★★

My kids couldn't stop laughing at the chaos the five sisters get into, and the historical details about turn-of-the-century New York really sparked their curiosity.

Penelope ★★★★★

My daughter loved following Ella, Henny, Sarah, Charlotte, and Gertie through their turn-of-the-century New York adventures, and the detailed descriptions made each scene feel so real. The five sisters' distinct personalities kept her turning pages well past bedtime.
