Middle-schooler Bina is having the best time playing in her new band with her friends, Darcy and Enzo. But both the band and her friendships begin to crumble when Darcy and Enzo start dating, effectively relegating Bina to third-wheel status.

To make matters worse, Bina's best friend, Austin, starts developing a crush on her . . . one she is not sure she reciprocates. Now Bina must follow her heart. Can she navigate its twists and turns before the lights come up and the music starts playing?

Aurora B. ★★★★★

I've read so many middle-grade books where band drama feels fake, but this one nails the tension between Darcy and Enzo. My daughter finished it in two sittings and immediately asked to borrow my signed bookplate for her shelf.

Joshua ★★★★★

I loved how the bookplate was signed, making it feel like a personal keepsake. The story of Bina balancing band practice with friendship drama felt so real and relatable.

Penelope ★★★★★

The signed bookplate was a nice bonus — my daughter was thrilled to add it to her collection. She loved the story about balancing friendships and band practice, and finished it in two days.
