Min historia

This book hit me right in the chest. The mirror metaphor is so tender and powerful, and the way it frames a mother's history as a gift for her daughter's future is something I'll carry with me. My daughter asked me to read it twice in one night.

As a mom, I’ve read a lot of picture books, but this one hit differently—the way it weaves the mother’s own school years into a message for her daughter feels so real and tender. My six-year-old asked me to read it twice in a row, and it opened up a conversation about identity I didn’t expect.

The mirror metaphor in this book is so beautifully handled, and the mother's voice feels genuine rather than preachy. I read it aloud with my daughter and we both ended up in a deep conversation about identity that I didn't expect from a picture book.
