Anne på Grönkulla (Rea)

I kept rereading the bit where Anne arrives and the Cuthberts get more than they bargained for—it's such a heart-warming setup, and the writing pulls you right in. The sale price made it a no-brainer for my book club pick this month.

The story of Anne’s arrival at Green Gables unfolded so warmly that I found myself smiling through every chapter, and the paperback binding held up perfectly through my re-reads.

The pacing surprised me—Anne's arrival flips the whole household upside down within the first few chapters, and you can't help but laugh at her dramatic first impression. It's the kind of book you keep on the shelf just to revisit that feeling.
