查看詳細說明The bedtime routine changed completely once I picked this up — Michael Foreman’s illustrations are so alive that my kid spots new details in the same poem every night. It’s rare to find a 19th-century collection that still feels this fresh to a five-year-old.
My daughter asks for "The Swing" every single night before bed now — the rhythm of the poems is so soothing and the Michael Foreman artwork on each page gives us something new to point out together. This edition feels like it was made to be read aloud, and it’s held up well through dozens of bedtime
Michael Foreman’s illustrations are the real draw here—they bring each poem to life without overpowering the words. I’ve been reading one or two before bed with my daughter, and the mix of old-fashioned charm and gentle artwork feels like a proper little ritual.
