溺水研究

The dark academic atmosphere is so thick you can feel the damp stone and salt air, and the prose is exactly as lush and sharp as the blurb promises. A perfect October read.

I read this in one sitting, and the way Ava Reid weaves the sea and the house into the plot is stunning—it genuinely gave me chills. The prose is so sharp and atmospheric that I felt like I was drowning right alongside the characters.

I’m usually not a YA reader, but the "achingly atmospheric" writing pulled me in right away—the way the setting feels almost like a character itself. It’s a haunting, sharp read that sticks with you long after the last page.
