I was hooked from the first chapter, and the way Flip's loneliness in Switzerland mirrors Philippa's story kept me turning pages fast. The sense of place is so vivid it felt like I was there in that cold boarding school with them.

I was so drawn into Flip’s loneliness at that Swiss boarding school that I couldn’t put the book down until I found out how she’d meet Paul. The way her misery shifts to curiosity as their connection builds felt so real.

The way Paul is introduced feels so mysterious, like a secret you’re dying to uncover. I loved how Flip’s initial misery turned into something hopeful, and the Swiss setting made every scene feel cold and real.
