AstroNuts Missie Een: De Plantplaneet

My kids fought over who got to hold it first, and that says everything. The hybrid animal crew is pure genius, and the way the story folds in real science without feeling like homework had me laughing right along with them.

The science bits about hybridization are cleverly woven into the jokes—my 7-year-old keeps asking how animals could really breathe on other planets. We've read it three times this week and still find new details in the illustrations.

My kid laughed out loud at the whole hybrid-animal crew, and I loved that the science facts about planets are woven right into the story without feeling like a lesson. The jokes land for grown-ups too, which is rare for a picture book.
