如河流般的傷疤

I read it in one sitting—the way Lisa Graff builds Fallon’s secret around her scar feels so real, and the pacing kept me turning pages without wanting to stop. As a coming-of-age story about pressure and identity, it hit me harder than I expected for a middle-grade novel.

The scar on Fallon’s face is handled with so much care, and the way her secret unfolds kept me turning pages late into the night. It’s the kind of story that makes you feel seen, even if you’re not a thirteen-year-old.

I read this in one sitting—the way Graff weaves Fallon’s secret with the scar’s origin kept me turning pages way past midnight, and the ending felt earned without being tidy. It’s the kind of coming-of-age story that stays with you for days.
