The cloth cover with the embossed black stamping caught my eye immediately, and Steadman’s illustrations inside are truly unhinged in the best way. Arrived in pristine condition for a 1995 edition, which I was a bit worried about.

Steadman's illustrations are the real draw here, and they're printed crisply on the thick, uncoated pages—each one feels like it's leaping off the paper. The red cloth with the black stamping looks sharp on the shelf, and the binding lies flat when I read it.

The red cloth cover with the black pictorial stamping is even more striking in person, and the pages are crisp with that wonderful old-book smell. It’s a beautiful edition of Orwell’s story, and Steadman’s illustrations add a chaotic energy that makes it feel like a fresh read.
