清秀佳人

The girl-meets-boy plot twist in the first chapter genuinely caught me off guard, and from there Anne's imaginative chatter had me smiling on every page. The pacing feels perfectly cozy for a quiet afternoon read, and I found myself slowing down just to savor the descriptions of Green Gables.

I wasn’t expecting a book about an orphan girl to make me laugh out loud, but Anne’s first conversation with Marilla over the wrong gender had me hooked. The way her dramatic imagination turns every mistake into an adventure makes this feel so much livelier than most classics. Got through 200 pages

The twist at the start—that they expected a boy—made me laugh out loud, and Anne’s voice gets more charming with every page. I stayed up way too late just to see what she’d say next.
