灰燼公主

Theodosia's grief and rage feel so real from the very first chapter, it’s been a while since a fantasy protagonist grabbed me like this. I’m halfway through and the pacing hasn’t lagged once, even with all the political scheming. The audio version is worth it too—the narrator really sells the Kaiser

I tore through the first hundred pages in one sitting and immediately ordered the audiobook version too, since the narration really brings the Fire Queen’s world to life. The pacing is relentless and Theodosia’s quiet fury feels so real you can almost hear her heartbeat on the page.

Theodosia’s story grabbed me from the first page—watching her balance a dead queen’s crown with a rebel’s fire felt painfully real. That opening scene where her mother dies hit hard, and the pacing never let up after.
