《驚奇色彩之後》

The audio version is a solid $26.43 investment for the way it brings Leigh’s grief and certainty to life through pacing and tone. I found myself pausing the car just to sit with a chapter and feel the weight of her search after her mother’s suicide. It’s rare that a story lingers like this long afte

I was completely absorbed from the first page, and the way Leigh fixates on the idea that the body isn't her mother's is so haunting it stuck with me for days. The audio version made the grief feel even more intimate, and I kept replaying the final chapters just to sit in the emotion a little longer

This is the first book in a long time that made me cry on public transit, and I wasn't even embarrassed about it. The way the story weaves between grief and the search for her mother's past feels so achingly real. It's a haunting read, but one that stays with you long after the last page.
